Hi I am Morgan Futrell, owner of Moonshine and Magnolias!
We are a small gift shop catering to tourists and locals alike on Main Street in downtown Hendersonville, NC! We pride ourselves on finding and carrying woman-owned brands and providing a space for female creators to share their gifts whenever we can!
Why I started:
We started this business because Hendersonville, NC needed it! We love downtown shopping and visiting historic districts all over. Ours was missing a gift shop that catered to women visitors and locals alike and we wanted to bring it there.
What I love about being a business owner: The freedom to be creative and try new things. I love being able to provide a space for a women, We host pop-ups once a month where we showcase a female owned, preferably local, business to our community.
What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet and/or who purchase your products?
We hope to bring joy and happiness to their life with every interaction and every product they take home or gift away.
Who or what inspires you?
Our team, their dedication to this business and desire for it to succeed and grow.
What is your favorite piece of advice you've ever received (or favorite quote)? Embrace the roll with it seasons.
What does BEAUTY mean to you?
It means confidence in what God gave you and an embrace of all the facets of you.
What advice would you give your past self just starting your business? Settle down, it is going to be just fine.
