HER STORY ⟡ Dominika of Baltic Bronze Sunless Tan
Today, we are meeting Dominika, the founder of Baltic Bronze Sunless Tan!
After receiving a Fashion Merchandising degree from Ohio State, I launched my career as Assistant Merchant for Justice/Limited Brands. From there I pursued my passion for design in Production and Sourcing at Express, where I worked for seven years.
When I welcomed two sets of twins within three years, I decided to leave the workforce temporarily to stay home full time with my kids. I was diagnosed with Melanoma nine years ago, and found sunless tanning as a safe, alternative way to achieve a sun-kissed glow. My passion for sunless tanning led to a part-time job. Once all the kids went to school full time, and within the last few months, I decided to branch out on my own and opened Baltic Bronze Sunless Tans at 670 Meridian Way, Suite 283.
What I love about being a business owner:
I love the flexibility that it provides me and my family. I can make my own schedule and still be able to drive my kids to their sporting events and volunteer at their school! I also love being able to select the products and solutions that I use! I wouldn't use anything on my clients that I wouldn't use on myself or my family. A great spray tan begins first and foremost with great solution. We choose solutions that are all natural and contain only the highest quality of natural DHA. What type of impact do you want to have?
I love meeting people and helping clients achieve a safe, healthy tan. I strive to create a warm and inviting environment where my clients feel comfortable. My hope is that they leave us feeling happy, confident and radiant. What I love about spray tanning is the instant boost of confidence it gives you. Even on the gloomiest Ohio day you can step inside and feel instantly better in 20 mins!
Who or what inspires you?
There are so many things that inspire me! The people in my life, my husband, the beautiful places I have visited; but my kids are my number one inspiration. They have shown me that I can do really hard things! Even when I didn’t know how I would be able to survive with 4 kids 3 years old and under, not only did I survive, I thrived. Everything I do is for them and they inspire me daily to be the best version of myself that I can be.

What does beauty mean to me?
Beauty, for me, lies in authenticity and self-acceptance. It is about being comfortable in one’s own skin; embracing imperfections, and celebrating individuality. It is the confidence that radiates from someone who knows and embraces their true self.
What advice would you give yourself?
Follow your instincts! Do the things that scare you and take you out of your comfort zone; they are often the most rewarding.
