HER STORY ⟡ Dr. Jheneale Grandison

Today, we are meeting Dr. Jheneale Grandison, Founder and CEO of Face It Hydration!

Tell us about you and your background.

My name is Dr. Jheneale Grandison, and I am the Founder and CEO of Face It Hydration. I am a board-certified adult gerontology nurse practitioner with a doctorate in nursing practice from the University of Maryland. My professional journey has been deeply rooted in healthcare, specializing in primary care and rheumatology. With over 12 years of healthcare experience, I have developed a strong proficiency in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes type II and obesity, aiming to improve the overall well-being of my patients.

Tell us about your business and why you started it.

In 2022, I faced elective surgery and realized the immense value of post-surgical nutrition and hydration in the healing process. This personal experience inspired me to launch Face It Hydration, a mobile IV hydration business dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality care right to people's doorsteps.

But as I began to explore the logistics of launching a mobile IV hydration service, I encountered a major hurdle: the exorbitant costs involved. The prospect of paying upwards of $500 for a mobile service in my area highlighted a glaring gap in accessible healthcare.

Central to my business philosophy is the belief that healthcare should be both convenient and accessible. By bringing care directly to my clients' homes, I empower them to prioritize their well-being without the added stress of navigating traditional healthcare channels. Whether it's dehydration, hangovers, migraines, or other ailments, my mobile IV hydration service offers a lifeline to those in need while reducing unnecessary ER visits and missed work or school days.

What do you love about being a business owner?

What I love most about being a business owner is the incredible opportunity it gives me to make a direct and meaningful impact on my community. As a healthcare professional, I've always been passionate about helping people, and owning Face It Hydration allows me to do that in a unique and accessible way.

I find immense satisfaction in bringing high-quality, compassionate care directly to my clients' homes, making it easier for them to prioritize their health without the barriers of traditional healthcare settings. The ability to innovate and create a service that meets a real need—promoting preventative care and wellness—fills me with a deep sense of purpose

Additionally, being a business owner has pushed me to grow and develop skills beyond my healthcare background. Learning about marketing, budgeting, supply chains, and all the intricacies of running a business has been a challenging yet rewarding journey. This growth has not only made me a more well-rounded professional but has also given me a great sense of accomplishment.

Most importantly, I love the freedom and creativity that comes with entrepreneurship. I can implement my vision and ideas in ways that truly benefit my clients and my community. Seeing the positive impact of Face It Hydration on people's lives and knowing that I'm making a difference every day is incredibly fulfilling.

What type of impact do you hope to make on those you meet and/or who receive your services?

The impact I hope to make on those I meet and who receive our services at Face It Hydration is deeply rooted in improving their overall well-being and quality of life. My primary goal is to provide accessible, high-quality care that empowers individuals to take charge of their health proactively.

Through our mobile IV hydration services, I aim to eliminate barriers to healthcare, making it convenient for people to receive the nutrients and hydration they need right at their doorstep. I want our clients to feel cared for, valued, and supported in their health journeys, knowing they have a reliable and compassionate partner in us.

By emphasizing the importance of preventative care, I hope to shift the mindset from reactive to proactive healthcare. Many people associate IV therapy with treating hangovers or acute illnesses, but my vision is to highlight its benefits for overall wellness, recovery, and maintenance of good health. Educating our community about these benefits and seeing them embrace a more proactive approach to their health is incredibly rewarding.

What does BEAUTY mean to you?

To me, beauty transcends physical appearance and is deeply rooted in health, wellness, and self-care. As a healthcare professional and business owner, I see beauty in the strength and resilience of the human body and mind. Beauty is about feeling your best, both inside and out, and having the confidence that comes from taking care of yourself holistically.

In my work with Face It Hydration, I witness beauty in the moments when our clients choose to prioritize their health and well-being. It’s in the proactive steps they take to stay hydrated, nourished, and balanced. Beauty is in the glow of good health, the energy that comes from being well-hydrated, and the vitality that proper nutrition brings.

Moreover, beauty is about accessibility and inclusivity in healthcare. It’s beautiful to see a community where everyone has the opportunity to feel their best without the barriers of cost or inconvenience. By bringing high-quality, compassionate care directly to people’s homes, we enable them to embrace their own beauty through wellness and self-care.

Ultimately, beauty to me is a reflection of self-love and the care we invest in ourselves. It’s about empowering individuals to look and feel their best by providing them with the tools and services they need to achieve optimal health. That inner vitality and confidence are what truly embody beauty in my eyes.
