HER STORY ⟡ Jocelyn Vink

Today, we are meeting Jocelyn Vink of Cordillera Wellness Collective!

Why I Started My Practice

Professional burnout was stealing my love for medicine and the joy of providing care—the very reasons I entered this field. I chose medicine because I wanted to help people, blending my fascination with biology and science with my passion for making a difference in others’ lives. But the current healthcare system, with its relentless pace and barriers, was leaving me frustrated and questioning my career choice.

Starting my own private practice was my way of reclaiming what I love most about being a provider: delivering quality care and building meaningful relationships with my patients. Now, I have the freedom to focus on what truly matters—taking the time to listen, understand, and support each patient on their journey to better health.

What I love about being a practice owner:

Being a medical practice owner allows me to combine creativity with purpose. I love finding innovative ways to serve my patients and constantly challenging myself to enhance the care I provide. The ever-evolving fields of functional and longevity medicine inspire me to keep learning, growing, and bringing the latest insights directly to my patients—without the red tape of traditional health insurance models.

Owning my practice gives me the freedom to focus on what truly matters: personalized, high-quality care that empowers my patients to take control of their health. As I continue to grow Cordillera Wellness Collective, my goal is to expand my reach and deepen my impact, ensuring that my community always has access to the kind of care that makes a lasting difference

The impact I hope to make:

I strive to bring real meaning and change to my patients' lives. Chronic diseases like hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obesity, and diabetes are on the rise as we age, impacting women just as much as men. Yet, there remains a significant gap in how women are cared for, especially in addressing prevention and holistic health.

My goal is to fill that gap by providing compassionate, personalized care that empowers women to take control of their health. I want to help my patients not only prevent chronic disease but also age with strength, vitality, and the ability to enjoy life's adventures—whether that's running, climbing, or traveling long after retirement.

Beyond individual care, I hope to leave a broader impact on my community by inspiring others to embrace a lifestyle of whole foods, regular exercise, and proactive health management. Together, we can redefine what healthy aging looks like.

Who or what inspires you?

I draw inspiration from the incredible women in my life—my mom, my sisters, and my friends. These strong, resilient women continuously show me the power of self-advocacy and the importance of prioritizing their health every single day. They remind me that taking charge of your well-being isn’t always easy, but it’s always worth it.

My patients also inspire me in profound ways. Their courage to seek answers, make changes, and trust me with their health pushes me to continually learn and grow as a provider. Each story they share and each goal they set motivates me to be better for them, to dig deeper into the science, and to refine the care I provide.

Ultimately, the strength, determination, and trust I see in these women fuel my passion for creating a space where they feel heard, supported, and empowered to thrive. They inspire me every day to keep moving forward.

What is your favorite piece of advice you've ever received or favorite quote?

Favorite quote has been a favorite since high school!

“As someone told me lately “Everyone deserves the chance to fly"

And if I'm flying solo

At least I'm flying free”

What does BEAUTY mean to you?

Beauty, to me, is so much more than what we see on the surface. It’s the way someone carries themselves with confidence and kindness, the strength they show in challenging moments, and the light they bring into the lives of those around them. Beauty is found in self-care, in prioritizing health and well-being, and in the joy of feeling good from the inside out.

Beauty is embracing who you are at every stage of life and finding ways to honor that journey.

In my practice, I strive to help others rediscover this sense of beauty within themselves—whether it’s through health, confidence, or simply feeling like their best selves. True beauty is about thriving, loving, and living authentically
