What is the difference between a Yoga Therapist and a Yoga Instructor?
A Yoga Therapist, which is what I am has received a formal education in Yoga Therapy from an accredited institution. This education typically takes 2-5 years of dedication and training. A Yoga Therapist is credentialed to work with clients outside of a typical yoga studio setting; including rehabilitation centers, hospitals, specialty locations. In addition, a Yoga Therapist views the individuals physical body, taking into account restrictions, limitations, and any outlying issues to create a customized plan for wellness. Yoga Therapy enables every person to enjoy and reap the benefits of a yoga practice.
What is Ayurvedic Medicine?
Ayurvedic medicine is a holistic healing system that originated in India over 5,000 years ago, focusing on balancing the mind, body, and spirit through natural therapies. It is based on the concept of three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—which represent different energies governing bodily functions, and treatments aim to restore harmony through diet, herbal remedies, lifestyle practices, and therapies like yoga and meditation. Ayurveda emphasizes prevention and personalized care, using a combination of natural elements and traditional wisdom to promote long-term wellness.
What are the benefits of Sound Therapy?
Sound therapy uses vibrational frequencies from instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and tuning forks to promote deep relaxation and reduce stress.
