HER STORY ⟡ Sam Johns

Today, we are meeting Sam Johns, owner of Forever Flowers Story!

How did you get started?

I was a Covid bride & could not find a florist at the time. My mom & I decided to take matters into our own hands & create my wedding vision ourselves. I didn’t have the means or connections to purchase real flowers, so I used faux & dried flowers. It was fairly inexpensive & I began to realized how much I loved getting to use my inner creative! 
 

I took a seven week business course at Oceans Programs & was inspired by so many other Cincinnati entrepreneurs to follow my passion! I love building community through small business & meeting new people! Oceans encouraged me to create a business that had purpose & glorified God. I wanted FFC to be more than just a wedding business. 

What’s is your business?

I am a full service wedding florist, specializing in faux and dried florals. I offer brides the opportunity to rent flowers, which is more affordable. I set up & offer day of coordinating! After the wedding is over, I repurpose the flowers at markets & other events! Sustainability is a huge piece of who we are!

What advice would you give a fellow entrepreneur?

Don’t wait! Stepping out of comfort is the best way to tap into courage. If you have an idea act on it in hope. Hope is the driving force of our purpose and passion! You would be surprised how many other entrepreneurs in the Cincinnati community are willing to support and encourage your success!
