Today, we are meeting Brooke Swaney, owner of The Girl on Ivy Boutique!

Who I Am
Hey, ladies! I am Brooke, The Girl on Ivy Boutique owner, buyer, lead shipper, social media director...you get it! I've been a lover of clothes, shoes, and jewelry all of my life, and have been dreaming of sharing that love as a boutique owner for many years. In 2022, I decided if not now, then when; and decided to Go for IT! I have recently moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where I also work as a teacher and live with my sweet Cavachon, Maggie. The name The Girl on Ivy is a nod to the little cul-de-sac I grew up on, and at the core is the "girl" that I still am: someone who values honesty, integrity, family, friendship, faith, and yes...Fashion!

What Beauty Means to Me
Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, and shades. We are all our most beautiful when we embrace our uniqueness and allow our authentic selves to shine through, while also accepting and celebrating others for theirs. Fashion is such an extension of that. I think the only fashion rule is there isn't one! Fashion should be fun, and make you feel like your amazing self!

Advice I'd Give My Past Self Advice
I'd give my past self (and let's face it...my current self needs a reminder from time-to-time, too) is to relax, enjoy the present, be patient, and trust the timing of your life. Life is full of the expected and unexpected, ups and downs, trials and triumphs; starting a new business and moving to a new city are not immune to those challenges.
