HER STORY ⟡ Dr. Jasmine Craner
Hey all!
My name is Jasmine and I live in Columbus Ohio with my husband, children, and our Aupair (aka lifesaver/BFF).
We opened Active Edge Health (Chiropractic & Functional Medicine) in 2013 straight out of Chiropractic school and have been activating healing ever since. I think I will never stop being amazed by how impressive and interconnected our bodies are. Never a week goes by that I don’t have patients telling me how much their lives have changed since they began partnering with us. I am blessed to be part of so many people’s journey.
I am also blessed to have 4 wonderful children. Esox 8, Kenai 6, Aurora 5, and Cedar 3 (as of October 2023). I am inspired by their creativity and determination. They teach me new things every day. I thought I knew so much about myself before having an office and children. I was wrong, but I sure have grown a lot!
Why I started:
I was inspired to start into practice straight out of school because I felt people deserve more than they get in traditional practices. I heard a lot of people saying no one was listening to them, and I noticed that health care had become very compartmentalized. The knee doctor looks at your knee and refers you out for complaints in your ears, or with your headaches or back pain, etc. But our bodies are soooo interconnected, and I find that one area of the body strongly affects other areas. Emotions can be held up in parts of the body and create physical problems.
I work to create a space for people to activate their natural healing potential. It’s amazing to see resolution of concerns that are seemingly unrelated occur simultaneously as you give your body the tools to heal on that deeper and more comprehensive level.
What I love about being a business owner:
I love that I can create an environment where we can look outside of the box to bring healing at a deeper level than practitioners bound by insurance. I love that we can be flexible in helping people prioritize their families and achieve the work life balance they need.
What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet and/or who purchase your products?
I hope the people I meet feel heard, valued and appreciated. I hope that we are able to resolve concerns beyond what brought them into the office and be a continued partner and resource to nourish their lifestyle through life’s blessings and challenges. I hope I’m able to open their eyes to things they’ve never heard before and learn about their bodies on a deeper level. I hope they feel empowered, vibrant, and more confident. I hope that they entrust me to help their friends and loved ones as well.
Who or what inspires you?
I am so inspired by how amazing our bodies are.
I’m inspired by the strength and resilience of the women I meet. I’m inspired by my daughter who conquers every challenge she sets her mind to.
What is your favorite piece of advice you've ever received or favorite quote?
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
What does BEAUTY mean to you?
To me beauty is a genuine smile, crying when you’re moved, dancing out your feels, and finding joy in the mess. I think we’re all the most beautiful when we are honest, vulnerable, and expressing ourselves authentically.
What advice would you give your past self just starting your business?
Don’t bother with insurance networks. They’ll restrict what you can do and your patients’ results won’t be as amazing.

I’m a little stubborn and a little particular and have a lot of faith. Your body is amazing and if you don’t feel that way, you haven’t gotten to the roots of your concerns.
