Today, we are meeting Jenny Smith, Owner of Nice-Tan Mobile Spray Tanning in Cincinnati!
My name is Jenny Smith and I am a busy mother of two boys, and I’m an attorney. I grew up in Cincinnati and will celebrate my 25th wedding anniversary this year!
Why I started
I was desperate for a fast way to get a nice tan.

What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet?
I hope to leave a two-fold impact on everyone I meet. First, I want to create a moment of pure joy and confidence. Seeing the smile on a new client's face when they look in the mirror after their first airbrush tan is what truly inspires me. It's a reminder that a healthy tan can boost anyone's mood and make them feel vibrant.
Secondly, I want to empower people to make healthy choices when it comes to
achieving a beautiful tan. By offering a safe alternative to UV tanning, I hope to leave a lasting impact on people's health. Sun damage can be a real concern, and knowing I can help someone achieve a gorgeous glow without the risk of wrinkles is incredibly rewarding.

Beauty goes beyond physical appearance. Kindness, intelligence, humor, and strength are all qualities that contribute to a woman's beauty.
What advice would you give your past self just starting your business? Don’t get frustrated when success doesn’t occur overnight.

Let's Face it, ladies. Cincinnati summers are short, and who has the time to bake for hours to get a decent tan? That was me back in 2008. A busy mom of two, with a diaper bag permanently attached to my arm, free time was a distant memory. Gone were the days of lounging poolside, soaking up the rays and achieving that healthy glow.
Desperate for a quick fix, I ventured into a tanning salon, hoping for a miracle from their automatic spray booth. Big mistake. The tan was patchy like someone threw a bucket of bronzer at me in the dark. And the color? Well, let's just say"oomph-a-loompa" wasn't the look I was going for.
Next, I dove headfirst into the world of self-tanning lotions. The struggle was real, ladies. The application was messy, the results were uneven (think splotchy knees and orange palms!), and the smell? Don't even get me started!
My ever-supportive husband, a natural problem-solver, decided enough was enough.
There had to be a better way for me to achieve that bronzed goddess look. He did some digging and discovered the secret weapon of Hollywood - airbrush tanning! He ordered dozens of samples of top-of-the-line tanning solutions and became my personal tan technician. After a few rounds of practice (and let's be honest, a few laughs!), the results were incredible.
My friends couldn't stop asking where I'd been vacationing - my tan
looked that natural and flawless!
Word spread like wildfire. Soon, my friends were clamoring to experience this magical airbrush tanning for themselves. Their glowing reviews planted a seed - maybe this "Tanning on the go" concept could be a business!
Fast forward to 2010, and Nice-Tan Mobile Spray Tanning was born. Back then, the idea of mobile tanning was unheard of in Cincinnati. It was a slow climb at first, but with each happy customer, our reputation grew.
