HER STORY ⟡ Lindsay Dollinger
Hi! I’m Lindsay Dollinger: women’s business coach, podcast host of the Purpose and Pixie Dust podcast, high school Spanish teacher, dog mama to Bella, and Disney lover! I live in Mechanicsburg, Ohio (between Columbus and Dayton) with my younger sister and our rescue dog (from Puerto Rico), Bella. I’m obsessed with all things Disney (the parks, movies, studying the business model, and running RunDisney races).
I started in business in network marketing in 2016. I needed an outlet to feel fulfilled after my mom passed away from a nearly 17 year battle with breast cancer in 2015. I quickly found that I was obsessed with helping other women also grow their businesses, and my coaching business very organically grew from my success in my own business and helping others on my team. I also started a podcast in 2020 to share not only my own business advice and tips as I’m on the journey myself, but also to interview other motivational women to share with my audience. Additionally, I have always loved Disney, and one of the things I do “on the side” is work as a Disney travel agent. So I found it was very natural for me to add my Disney branding into my business coaching, and that’s how I formed my membership, the Magical Membership for Women Entrepreneurs.
Why I started:
I started my coaching business to help other women combine their purpose and passion with their businesses, along with the right systems and strategies to build their dream businesses while also working a full-time job (what I did).
What I love about being a business owner: It’s so fulfilling helping other women have aha moments and have the success they desire so much. The flexibility of schedule and income is something I know many desire (myself included) so I love helping people achieve that.
What type of impact do you hope to have on those you meet and/or who purchase your products?
I hope women I work with find clarity and support that they need to take their life and business to the next level. I also want to help women with their time management, content repurposing, and systems to be able to work less hours in their business and have their business work for them even when they’re not actively working.
Who or what inspires you?
Walt Disney is a huge inspiration to me. Everytime I’m at Disney World, I look around and admire the branding, marketing, the atmosphere, and product suite that the Walt Disney Company has created. It’s truly incredible!
What is your favorite piece of advice you've ever received or favorite quote?
Another Disney one: “If you can dream it, you can do it.” I truly believe if something was put on your heart to do, it was put there for a reason. Time to backward design your dreams and make it happen!
What does BEAUTY mean to you?
Beauty is our unique personality and traits that make you YOU. It’s so much more than outward appearance. It’s also the confidence to recognize those parts of you and to love them.
What advice would you give your past self just starting your business?
Just do it. Start messy and stop caring what others think. Your true community loves you for YOU.
