How to Make a Joy List

Happy Monday!

This is something I'm implementing in my own life so thought I'd share it. If you're in a state like Ohio like me, it also feels like the perfect timing with the weather changing.

The Joy List is simple. You essentially make a list (in your daily planner, notes app or favorite notebook) and write down all of the things that bring you joy aka light you up. Then you try to add these things to your calendar and release the things that don't bring you joy.

Some tips:
*Write down the names of people that make you feel good. These are the people that each time you leave an interaction or phone call, you feel LIT UP. You feel GOOD. Work on dedicating more time to be with them.

*Jot down anything that comes to your mind from the start. For me, this would include things like: dog walks, morning coffee, yoga, working from a patio or soon to be pool, nature hikes, weekend retreat, working on creative projects etc

*Similar to a "bucket list," you could add in sprinklings of things you want to prioritize this summer and add it to your schedule like certain restaurants you want to hit up, weekend bike rides, vacation trip etc

ENJOY!
