How To Make Friends as An Adult

Hey girl,

I've had so many convos on the topic of making friends lately. I actually was feeling SUPER LONELY post college. All my friends had moved away and I found it really hard to make friends in my adult life.

Here are my basic and best tips whether you recently moved, find yourself in a new stage of life or are just looking to make new connections. *Disclaimer: Know you've got to put yourself out there and get a little uncomfortable.

1. Join a Facebook group. Before you boohoo, I recently joined a couple FB groups and was astonished how active they are with women posting for meetup opportunities, introducing themselves and just being vulnerable that they were seeking friends!

2. Workout Classes/Front Desk Helper. This can be a bit hit or miss but joining something like ClassPass or making a studio your "home" can help you to continue to meet familiar faces. AND, if you have the time, volunteer to work the front desk for one shift a week. This scores you a free workout membership (typically) and is WAY EASIER to connect with the instructors + attendees.

3. Umm just gona say it. Join The Beauty Boost:) It can also be hit or miss if you just pop into one of our medium to bigger events but I find women DO make major friendships when they continue to sprinkle in to various events. You may find a new friend at a smaller event like a goal hike, connect at a Women Wonderland Panel and on!

4. Put together a meetup yourself! You can try platforms like Bumble BFF or book a brunch spot for 12 people and put out a FB post, etc to "lead" the mini meetup.

ENJOY!
