Own Your Morning Routine

Hey gal!

I’ve been looking to be more consistent in all areas of my life: work, friends, personal, etc. One way I’ve found helps me be more consistent is by starting off my morning on the right note.

Morning routines can look very different. Personally, I do not have a set routine that I do every morning, but I try to sprinkle in the same aspects every day. The most important part of creating a morning routine is doing what works for YOU. I like to make sure I get in some movement and a yummy breakfast every morning, but the timing always looks a little different.

Here are my 4 tips to creating a morning routine:

  1. Do something that works for you - it doesn’t have to be the same exact thing every morning. I don’t have a set routine, but I take time for myself every morning before I get to work

  2. Eat a healthy breakfast - I don’t get hungry right away, so breakfast is towards the end of my routine. Fit it in somewhere where you are ready to eat

  3. Take time for yourself - Do something you enjoy, whether it be walking the dog, yoga, or journaling. It will start your morning on the right foot and make you feel good all day

  4. Limit phone time - Looking at your phone right when you wake up is bad for your eyes and taking time away from social media can improve your mental health.

Take what works for you and implement it into your mornings. Your mornings don’t have to look the same, but doing things you like can put you in a good mindset for the day!
