Summer Bucketlist Inspo!

Hey gal!

Jess here from The Beauty Boost in Dayton, Ohio.

I don't know about you, but lately I've been feeling SO much more energized as we leave winter and early spring behind and get ready for that gorgeous summer weather we all love.  When I graduated college and headed out to get a job and start a family, the summer season started to lose the sparkle that it once had when I was a kid.

But a few years ago, I decided I would make it my mission to make the most out of summers again with one simple trick:

Bring back summer bucket lists.

We all remember that feeling of being a preteen at the end of a school year when you'd flip through magazines with your friends (um, hello J14 for all my millenials out there), grab your glitter gel pens and get to work creating an EPIC list of all the fun you were going to have that summer. Why did that have to end? Well, I decided it didn't have to. So each summer, I bust out my favorite pens, my Pinterest board, and my laptop to fill up our family's summer calendar with some killer activities we can enjoy to bring back the JOY of summer again.

Here are a few places I always look as I fill up our summer calendar:

 1. Check your local parks department's website to see what free/cheap community events are going on. Many cities host outdoor festivals and concerts all summer long and it can be a great way to spend an evening outdoors.

2. Facebook is an awesome place to look to see events in your area like food truck festivals, outdoor fitness happenings and more.

 3. Pinterest is also an amazing place to search for ideas. You can even look up "Summer Bucket List 2024" and get a TON of inspo. Every year I add things like kayaking, camping, and s'mores under the stars.

4. Of course, I always make sure my calendar is filled with events The Beauty Boost hosts. Be sure to check your city's page to see how you can stay connected with your gal pals over the summer season.

What about you? How do you fill your summer schedule? We'd love to hear!

Send us an email and let us know.

XOXO Jess
